Vauth & Sohn were one of the first foam material suppliers for the aviation market. As the first manufacturer, we have developed form-moulded foam parts and introduced them to the market. Our foam materials fulfil all aviation standards and are adapted and developed to continually meet ever-changing demands.

We are a Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (Aeronautical Federal Office) authorised manufacturer, in accordance with EASA 21G, and we supply leading seat manufacturers and airlines world-wide.

Vauth + Sohn

Vauth & Sohn was founded by Hermann Vauth in 1967. The first products were fibre-glass reinforced plastics, which were employed in various applications. Containers, trays, machine parts and truck parts were manufactured. Our first aviation product was the manufacture of waste containers for airlines.At the beginning of the 70s, Vauth & Sohn developed the first low-flammability foam mould. Since then, we have specialised in the manufacture of special polyurethane foams, which are used predominantly in aeronautics and the rail sector. Foam materials are manufactured for passenger seats, flight attendant seats and pilot seats. Furthermore, armrests and various moulded parts are manufactured from integral foam.

For custom-made products, glass or kevlar enhanced plastics are also used. Additionally, special fittings can be made if required by the customer.
